He is the Managing Director of Dr.Kumar’s Health care Hospital in Chennai and the managing trustee of Swamy Dayananda Foundation, Chennai. With 20 years of medical service excellence his mission is to launch 100 Modular Medical Clinics across remote parts of South India to serve humanity with personalized care at affordable cost.
Coming from a humble family background in Salem, Tamilnadu early ahead during school days he understood the dire need of medical care in rural areas and resolved to become a Medical Practitioner. With his stride of academic excellence, never give up attitude, he self-funded his medical studies by working night-time and earned MBBS Degree at Stanley Medical College, Chennai in 1999 and in 2001 a Diploma in Orthopedics.

Dr.Saravana Kumar started his career as an Assistant Professor, Department of Orthopedics, SRM Medical College, Chennai in 2001 and as a Consultant - Ortho Surgeon in 2005 at Hindu Mission Hospital, Tambaram. In 2007, he launched his own healthcare brand Dr.Kumar’s Ortho Clinic a trusted name that stands close to the society’s heart till today for delivering quality orthopaedic service in Chennai. To further extend his service to the masses in 2012 he launched Dr.Kumar’s Health Care Hospital in Chennai adding urology, neurology, oncology, paediatric orthopaedics and dental disciplines to the services portfolio.

He is a visionary leader who established Dr.Kumar’s Speciality Hospital as a Centre of Excellence with meritorious medical experts, decorated surgeons, strategic partnerships with the medical fraternity, patient benefit schemes, a conducive infrastructure with world-class medical equipment and a permissive learning ecosystem.

Dr.Kumar established Swamy Dayananda Foundation in 2018, a non-profit organization through which he saves precious lives by providing Free Golden-hour treatment for accident patients, conducts free health-check medical camps, runs health awareness & yoga training programs and spreads the preaching and principles of Swamy Dayananda Saraswati.

To stay resourceful, Dr.Kumar attends various medical, leadership training programmes, actively participates in activities of professional bodies like IMA, NABH, IOA, Lions Club, Business Networking International (BNI) and recently has sworn in as The Secretary of Indian Medical Association (IMA - Tambaram).
